To Do List!
Research
You will need to do some research before starting to plan your proposal. The following sections are the things you will need to look into before you start the planning stage
Location
Where is this 'garden' your planning going to be? What factors should you consider when scouting locations? (take a camera with you when you go out exploring, it will help you remember. As well the picture can be included in your final proposal.) What is the light like in the morning? and in the afternoon? Is there a water water source close by?
Design
What will your garden look like? What resources are available? What will you need to add? What will you need to take away? Please prepare a 'garden blueprint' to show how you will transform your chosen location. Remember not all transformations need to be dramatic, the less you change the more time and money you will save. Submit a drawing/blueprint with a list of materials that you will need to complete the project.(Your are being evaluated on forethought and precision, not artistic ability.)
Budget
Now that you now what you will need it is time to add up the costs. What will you change? How many of that will you need? Are there any donation opportunities? (Remember businesses love low cost advertizement and they look good for supporting the community.) This is to be a rough estimet only, you are not
Formal Proposal
This is the part where you get to convince everyone that this is a great idea. Sell the sizzle! Tell them why this is a good idea. Tell them how it can be accomplished and how much it will cost. The links will help you on your way. Remember to take it one step at a time.
